Massage practice Helium uses General Terms and Conditions. If you make an appointment for a massage/treatment at Helium Massage Practice, we assume that you have taken note of the conditions below and agree to them. The massage therapist is certified and gives every priority to the safety and integrity of the client. However, the client is always responsible for his or her well-being and safety.

These General Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Helium massage practice. We provide sports massage, Swedish massage, cupping and Thai massage, where the treatment technique is described on the Helium BV website and discussed and explained before the massage.

We absolutely do not provide sensual or erotic massages. Helium reserves the right to deny people access to the practice if their behavior or appearance gives reason to do so, in the opinion of Your Massage.

 

1.       Medical aspects

The client is expected to provide relevant information to the massage therapist during the intake and anamnesis interview.

The massage/treatment you undergo is not intended to diagnose and/or treat 'medical conditions' (such as illness, acute or chronic complaints). If there is any doubt about a condition, injury or contraindication, it may be decided to refrain from giving a massage and refer you to a doctor/therapist/specialist. Follow-up treatments are possible as soon as your treating doctor/therapist/specialist agrees.

If you are being treated by a doctor, therapist or specialist, or are taking medication, it is necessary to discuss with your practitioner whether you can have a massage.

The client is responsible for the information and its accuracy that he/she provides to Massagepraktijk Helium during the intake interview, so that we can carry out the massage/treatment as responsibly and safely as possible.

Absolute general contraindications (no massage may be given at all): heart disease, serious vascular disease, thrombosis, severe fever, infection and infectious disease (flu, pneumonia and laryngitis), high blood pressure, cancer, contagious skin disease, total exhaustion, severe general pain (except muscle pain due to sports, for example), when using drugs or alcohol, when using medications such as blood thinners, antibiotics and antidepressants.

Relative general contraindications (massage may be given, with adapted pressure and/or technique): diabetes, minor vascular disorders, local contraindications (local massage may not be given), bone fracture, recent surgery, bruising, muscle tear, bruise or injury, recent whiplash, questionable thickening.

Relative local contraindication (local massage is allowed, but with adjusted pressure and/or technique): very hairy skin, non-contagious skin disease, varicose veins.

 

2.       Liability

Massage practice Helium cannot be held liable for negative results, any consequences, side effects and/or after-effects that could possibly be a consequence of a treatment. Helium also accepts no liability for the consequences of incorrect information about a otherwise presented or concealed health aspect.

By agreeing to these conditions, you declare that you will not hold us liable for any consequences, side effects and/or after-effects that could possibly result from a massage/treatment. Due to physiological circumstances, among other things, it is impossible to guarantee whether and how much better a client will feel after a treatment.

It is important that the client indicates if certain complaints arise after the massage, or if there is no reduction in complaints for which the massage was intended as a treatment.

3.       Deny access

Massage practice Helium reserves the right to refuse clients if they are under the influence of mind-altering substances, alcohol or otherwise give rise to a contraindication. Unwanted intimacies: The massages given have nothing to do with eroticism and/or sex. Clients who make sexually suggestive comments or perform sexual acts and/or behavior must pay for the reserved treatment/time and will be immediately removed from the practice and will no longer be treated.

4.       Accessibility

The Massage Helium practice is located at street level via a small staircase. There is no elevator. Clients who have difficulty walking should take this into account. If necessary, a solution can be found in consultation.

5.       Loss or damage

Massage practice Helium cannot be held responsible for damage, theft or loss of personal belongings of the client.

6.       Certification

The diplomas/certificates that have been obtained are available for you as a client to view.

7.       Hygiene

Hygiene is very important at Helium Massage Practice and is also expected of you. From a hygiene point of view, it is expected that you have showered immediately before the treatment. This is not only more pleasant for the masseur to work, but also for you to undergo the treatment. Please do not use perfume. Upon entry, the client is asked to take off their shoes. The client, on the other hand, can expect from Helium Massage Practice that the practice space and materials are clean. The bath textiles used are the property of Massage Practice Helium and are changed and properly cleaned after each treatment. It is also possible to bring your own towelsn.

8.       Make and cancel an appointment

At Helium Massage Practice, massages/treatments are by appointment only. An appointment can be made by telephone, text message, e-mail, contact form on the website. By making an appointment, the client agrees to these General Terms and Conditions.

Cancellation and 'no show': Appointments made must be canceled no later than one day (24 hours) before the treatment, this is free of charge. If you cancel too late (within 24 hours before your appointment), on the treatment day itself or if you do not come at all, we will unfortunately be forced to charge you the full treatment price. You will then receive a separate invoice for this. Cancellation can only be done verbally/by telephone. If a customer regularly does not show up for appointments or is consistently late, Helium reserves the right to no longer accept appointments.

9.       Payment and invoicing

Payment from private individuals takes place immediately after the treatment in cash (preferably exact change due to limited change), bancontact app, via payconic or bank transfer after consultation. Invoices must be paid within 30 days of the invoice date.

10.   Gift voucher

You can also pay with a gift voucher from Massagepraktijk Helium. If payment is made via the gift voucher, it cannot be exchanged for cash. In addition, no refund is possible if you purchase less than the gift voucher value of massages or other services/products. The Massage Practice Helium gift voucher is valid for 1 year after the date of issue.

11.   Pricing

Massage practice Helium reserves the right to change the rates at any time. For agreements made before the rate change, the rate that was valid at the time the agreement was made applies.

 

12.   Personal data and privacy

Massage Helium only processes personal data that is relevant to the treatment. The personal data we process is name, address details, telephone number, e-mail address, payment details if necessary, sports and medical history, illness and medication use and work (specific physical strain) and, if necessary, after consultation, specialized photos of the treatment for interpretation of results ( before and after). All information that you provide before or during the massage/treatment, that client and masseur exchange during intake, functional assessment and treatment remains strictly confidential. The customer data will be stored as long as you are a customer with us. If you are no longer our customer, your data will be excluded after 2 years. These will never be provided to third parties without your written permission.

Data will never be provided to third parties without the client's permission. Clients can always request access to, modification or deletion of their personal data. You have the right to view your file and change your data at any time.
